I would take 1/2 star off because of the price at $150 (+ tax, of course), but I couldn't take a full star off because of how pleased I am overall with the purchase of the Rush Creek Creations Reel Salty Waterproof Marine Grade 16 Rolling Fishing Rod Holder Dock/Garage Storage Rack. (That's a description for a rod rack!)Initially, the hard polypropylene rack unassembled seemed a bit underwhelming, but the high-end hardware and the design when fully assembled made this rod rack into one solid piece! There are wheels only on one side, however the rack is 100% level as the opposite side board is taller. The wheels are of good quality, making moving a full loaded rack on a smooth surface a breeze (see pics)! The grey painted design on the rack is "Meh," but it's barely noticeable. Now, the best part. The rod holder slots are spread just a little wider than most I've seen, and I was VERY impressed by being able to put 13 middle-tier trolling outfits on it (ie: Think Shimano TLD 10's and 15's -> Not small by any means!), both conventional and spinning together, plus 2 small gaffs. They are a bit crowded, sure, and did require a little bit of Jenga, but it was only an additional 5 minutes to get everything right.I was able to move the rack around in the garage fully loaded up, and nothing fell out. My wallet wished it was $100-$120, but it is what it is. I've got several more combos, so next paycheck, I'll likely order another, fill that one up, and post an update. So far, thumbs up!
Exactly what I was looking for. Large cutouts for saltwater rods and plenty of space in between for larger reels. I estimate you can fit 8 large conventional steps on this stand with no issue. Extremely happy with the build quality and stability of this stand. Easy to put together. Highly recommended!
A little tricky to assemble but seems sturdy enough when put together. Gets the job done.
Thank you
Will not accommodate a regular spinning rod, I have regular Penn 3500s and St. Croix Rods and the rack is too tall to accommodate my regular spinning rods, they do not touch the bottom rack and will stand up straight!! Complete Bummer!
Easy to put together and sturdy
I rated this a 4, but would have given it 3.5 if that was possible. It’s a decent piece, but needs some adjustments. It seems fairly sturdy and looks good. The screws need to be countersunk a little as they stick out which I don’t care for. Some of the holes are not spaced exactly as they should be, although they are only off buy a very small margin. This rack needs to be a couple of inches longer to allow just a bit more space between rods. If you have rods with reels at different heights, it might work ok, it if your rods are all of similar reels positioning, then it is too tight and you will struggle to put rods in or take them out. There is also wasted space at either end that could have been distributed between the rods for easier use.Overall it’s good, but calling it a 16 rod rack is almost stretching it. With a little more space between, it would be fantastic. Overall, I like it but any recommendations would come with the above caveats. Good effort and a decent product that just needs a few small changes to be great.
I researched a lot of rod holders, and they all had bad reviews except this one.So, I purchased it and glad I did. It is exactly what I wanted and works perfectly. It is very sturdy and holds rods very nicely.I highly recommend this product for salt water and or freshwater rods.
Awesome product simple to put together
This unit sets the rods higher than our other rod holder so the longer rods won't fit without hitting the ceiling. It might not matter if you're keeping the rods in a garage or your ceilings are higher than 8 ft.
It was purchased as a gift. He could not stop smiling. Don't hesitate making this purchase. The angler in your life will be thrilled.
Love that it’s made for the Salt Water environment! It was easy to put together. Nice to look at ! The 2 Rollers make it practical ( shouldn’t roll off the dock ) But is also convenient when needing to wash the rods and then store them !
Well built & can take a range of different Saltwater rods including large spinners & Conventionals.
Working good with four and six oughts and 9000 class spinners
Love this product
Nice job making sure rack is constructed of weather resistant materials....after all, many will use it to hold rod/reel combos for rinsing off.
