I have this rod holder hanging on the roof of my catamaran. Fantastic solution!
The product overall is ok, it's good looking and fairly solid. But the screws provided by the manufacturer absolutely suck. When mounting it to the floor joists in my basement several of the screws stripped out forcing me to cut the heads off and use different hardware.. do yourself a favor and buy/use better screws to mount it on your wall or ceiling.
Universal mounting options are great for offshore rods that are too long to wall mount. I mounted mine on the ceiling in my office and it looks great and secures rods well.
Great construction. However the owners and manufactures must only fish for speckled sea trout or inshore game fish as the holes and brackets are way to close to handle larger rod and reel combos.
Was really excited about this but when installing it I became really disappointed in the quality of the rack. It looks good but the hardware is the cheapest possible. I had to buy my own separate hardware because the wall anchors are flimsy and weak. The wood is very soft and the screws push through easily stripping the holes. Sad because this was a cool product. The other wooden rack they have is better and 1/3 the price.
I love how good they look and how well they work. Very strong comes with all the hard wear you need. Took 10 min to install. I could not be happier with this purchase. Best on the market!!!!!
It will hold 11 rods and reels!
This might be fine for spinning rods, but trying to fit 11 conventional rods on the rack is a joke. They are too close together. You end up knocking one on the floor trying to get one out of the rack. If this held 8 or 9 rods it would probably be perfect, but 11 is too many for the width of the rack. I am going to take mine down and find another solution, even though it means I will eat the cost of the rod holder.
